Mrs. Leslie Feggans-Haynes is a dedicated and compassionate dual board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for understanding the critical importance of addressing psychological well-being alongside physical health. She uses psychotherapy, wellness, medication management, and evidenced based alternative therapies to improve the well-being of underserved communities.
Mrs. Feggans-Haynes started her professional career in Research and Development in the pharmaceutical industry after earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cabrini University and then completed a Master of Education (M.Ed) from Eastern University. After working as a Scientist in the pharmaceutical industry and gaining extensive knowledge of drug discovery, Mrs. Feggans-Haynes was driven to make a broader impact in the lives of others and returned to school for her healthcare degrees.
Mrs. Feggans-Haynes’ passion for mental health and nursing led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from LaSalle University where she gained a solid foundation in the art and science of professional nursing. Driven by a desire to specialize in psychiatric mental health care, Mrs. Feggans-Haynes completed a Post Masters Graduate Certification from Wilmington University with a focus on psychiatric nursing. Her passion for mental health advocacy, combined with her commitment to delivering culturally competent care, has made her a respected and sought-after expert clinician.
Mrs. Feggans-Haynes’ clinical experience spans across various settings, including psychiatric hospitals, federally qualified healthcare centers, drug and alcohol treatment facilities, and private practice. Working closely with individuals of diverse ages and backgrounds, she has had the privilege of addressing a wide range of mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders.
With a person-centered approach, Mrs. Feggans-Haynes strives to create a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic environment, fostering open communication and trust with each client. Mrs. Feggans-Haynes is well-versed in prescribing appropriate psychotropic medications and implementing psychotherapeutic treatment modalities, tailoring treatment plans to meet everyone’s unique needs and preferences.
