Habiba Mzougui is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of experience treating patients across the lifespan. She is a graduate of Drexel University. She has cared for adults and children living with depression, anxiety, trauma, and childhood-related conditions such as ADHD, emotional dysregulation/anger management, learning, and behavioral challenges.
NP Mzougui is passionate about the mental health of children and families. She believes the individual or family is the expert on their life, and collaboration with families results in the best outcome. Educating families about treatment and the connection between personal, social, and environmental factors in the context of childhood development empowers caregivers to confidently advocate for their children. NP Mzougui utilizes a variety of educational, developmental, behavioral, and social frameworks to support caregivers including CBT, Bronfenbrenner’s, and Family Systems Theory.
NP Mzougui is committed to providing quality evidence-based care to patients and continues to grow her expertise through educational opportunities at the Neuroscience Education Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy. She gives back to the professional community through mentorship and supervision of clinical hours for graduate students. In addition to her career, NP Mzougui enjoys grooming horses, all things cat-related and spending time with friends.
